kind interferance to get the original agreement fulfilled.

Finding my property likely to be soon swallowed up, and things taking so unexpected a turn, I thought it prudent to join my Capital with my Brothers and have purchased a House & Plot at Sydney where I now reside: We milk near 30 Cows and sell the Milk to the Inhabitants which is eagerly sought after, particularly by the poorer Class - and to secure a certain return from our Stock, we have opened a Butchers Shop and sell Meat 3d/ per lb lower than any other person's.  From the many disappointments I have met with, and finding my property would be soon expended from the heavy expences of so large a family and the high price of labour, having only twenty one Convicts, and thou many of them not useful, will I hope induce you once more to assist me in getting what appears founded on reason and justice.

I must state one more circumstance which necessity compeled  me to do  - I soon found on the passage that we had unfortunately engaged a very unpleasant Man as Master of the Ship, and that he was disposed to take every advantage and finding myself not to have sufficient knowledge how to manage so untractable a set and to give them the necessary directions for their future destination. I sold part of my share to Mr. Lord leaving him from his local knowledge to direct the ship where to proceed for her Cargo - and should the Brothers ever return the whole is to be disposed of - with wishing you many Years health and happiness, I remain -

Sir
Your most obliged
and obedient Hble Sert
