Bath, Jamaica - 16 March 1793 -

Sir Joseph,

The Breadfruit Plants still continue in a healthy and flourishing State, as well those that are transplanted in the Earth as those that remain in Pots, but I have been very busy these last three or four Days making Sheds to protect them from the strong North Winds which of late has been very troublesome here -  The young Gentleman who delivers this to you is a messmate and most intimate acquaintance of mine, whom I have authorized to receive the Part of my Salery due
