Lieut. Tuckey presents his respectful Compliments to Sir Joseph Banks, and has the honor to acknowledge the receipt of his note respecting the breed of South Downs Sheep introduced into New South Wales.   Mr. T [Tuckey] cannot call to his recollection with certainty the authority for believing so, but think he was so informed by Mr. Marsden, whose various flocks of Sheep he has often seen, and recollects very well many of them resembling the English South down, that is in being without horns, and having black faces and legs.
