Dear Sir
I am very much obliged to you for forwarding the parcel from Wildenow [Carl Ludwig Willdenow]. It contained the 2d part of his 1st. vol. I have not yet got the 1st part, but shall try for it when I go to London. I am doubly obliged by your kind offer of forwarding any foreign parcels to me, a trouble which you shall never have when I can any way avoid it, but when there is no other safe method, I shall thankfully profit of your indulgence & indeed sometimes my foreign correspond.ts (not knowing any other means) direct to me at your house as a certain means of finding me out.
