Norwich Feb 3d. 1798.

Dear Sir

I hope you will pardon me for troubling you on a point relating to the Flora Britannica.  Dr. Goodenough says you have fine english specimens of Poa bulbosa, with bulbs, in yr. herbarium.  This is a plant I cannot make out, & shall be very much obliged to you to tell me whether your's are like Barrellier's Ic. t. 703 f. 2 or like Vaillant's t. 17. f. 8.  They are two very difft .plants, though both intended by Linns.  for Poa Bulbosa, & both so named in his herbm. - they are his B & V of Sp. B. ed. 1 & 2 - & I take his a to be the same as the V, from Schenckzer's very exact description, for I have nothing to shew for the a.  If you can favour
