J Lane Presents his Compliments to Sr Joseph Banks & will Esteem it a great favour if he will be pleased to Accept a Plant of the Laurus Indica, to Place in one of his shrubberes              Mr L. is of opinion with submission to Sr Joseph Banks that it will bear the open Air of Revesby and will endure this climate better than the Buddlea Globosa which has been Planted in the open ground in his Garden this two years, The Laurus Indica, above mention'd has been an inhabitant of this Green house this Eight or Ten years and is become a strong & robust Plant -- this beautiful evergreen assumes the growth of a Large Forest Tree & throws out its branches with much elegance it is in a Tub and might easily be convay'd to Revesby being not Eight feet high
