Sir

I hope you will not be offended at the Liberty I take in thus troubling you, but from the many favors I have Received at your hand, I humbly flatter myself that you will condesend to be a Poor Mans Friend. The Case I now trouble you with is this. my Grant of Land which was to be two Hundred acres but of which compliment my Grant is fourteen acres short.   Govr. King to make up the deficiency and in consideration of my Family about a Month before Govr. Bligh arrived gave Orders to the Acting Surveyor to Measure me two Hundred acres more in a situation which by Possession I had fixed upon but unfortunately for me before this Order was compleated Govr. Bligh arrived and took the Command, after this Govr. King assured me that it would be fulfilled and that he would settle it with Govr. Bligh, however on application to Gov.
