The Humble Petition Elizbath Johns Widow of Thomas Johns Late Seaman on Board the Endever [Endeavour] Bark Commanded By Captn Cook.

Most Humbly Sheueth

That the Petr: [Petitioner's] husband having had the Honr To Sail along with your Honr in the Said voyage and furder in the cours of the voyage had Expanineed a Good Deal of your Honr frindship which has caused the Petr take this Libertay of Trubling your Honr.

The Petr is upon the Monthley Book of the Trinaty House at the amount of £3..12.. pr year which Intitels The Petr to an allems house  being the Highest money that is given to Captns Widows and as the Petr hase no frind to Recomen her, and Humbly Begs upon her Decised Husbands acct that your Honr Goodness might be pleased to Recomend Her to that Effect and the Petitioner In Duty Bound will - Ever Pray - - - -
