caring the pines, of which I sent a copy to the Princess, keeping the original in my own possethon to guide me in the trial I propose making of it on the two pines. Lady Banks was obliging as to send me 2 for which I request you, my dear Sir, to offer her Ladyship my best thanks.
I have particularly recommended the Pines to the care of the Captain of the Packet, & that they should be kept as dry & warm as possible so that I am in hopes of hearing soon of their safe arrival, of which I shall not fail to inform you immediately.
