Doctor Walson presents his Compts to Mr. Banks, & begs the favour of him to order a quart or two of sea water to be corked up, so [?] it may be subject to no subsequent evaporation, in Northern Latitudes 30o.  20o.  10o.  0o  & in Southern Latitude  10o.  20o.  30o

Docr. Walson will be much obliged to Mr. Banks to fill up the few inclosed words, in the Language of the Islanders, & to write down the name of the Island. He is sorry to be troublesome, but he hath a particular conjecture or two to be established or destroyed by the enquiry. For the sake of Science Doctor Walson wishes Mr Banks every thing that is good & fortunate, & shall hope to be favoured wth. his Acquaintance upon his return.
