Sir I  most humbly beg your intercession in my favour for the appointment being a settlement during life depending on my behaviour which I trust shall always be irreproachable.

I have Sir had much practice in surveying and ever since my arrival here I have been employed in that bussiness [business] and my plans have always been approved off [of] by his Excellency at present I am engaged in a survey of all the different settlements.
