I beg that my Compliments may be made acceptable to the ladies of your family, & should be glad to have had it my power to have informed them that Rose had meritted their kind endeavors to serve her. Indeed my Dear Sir, you might have had your laugh long before she reached this Settlement, & my desire of making her better, has only been the means of ruining a poor devil who married her.
