Paris, April 4th. 1783.
Sir,
Before I left London I received the Letter of the 16th of last month, with which you were pleased to honor me. Immediately on my arrival here, I communicated to "M. Pissol, librain [librarian], Quai des Augustins, à Paris," the contents of your letter, and the list of books containd in it. He promises to execute punctually the orders you shall from time to time send him, and in the manner you are pleased to point out to him. I have employ'd him as my bookseller here for many years, and have always found him attentive, obliging and honest. He will send only the books you desire: and will immediately forward to you the articles in your present list, to the care of Mess.rs Minet & Factor at Dover.
