The gardens afford us ample supply of greens, &c. &c. at present, and the vegetation continued good all the Winter, so that there is every reason to expect a succession of crops. The public garden, in Arthur Vale, continued luxuriant all the Winter. 

"I have never been more comfortably situated since I belonged to the service, I believe I shall have no reason to rue my coming the voyage.  I have a house of 20 feet by 12 to myself, and I have enjoyed an uninterrupted state of good health since I left Europe. 

"I conclude with returning you my sincere thanks for the many favours I received at your hands, and believe me to be your sincere well-wisher."
