Hond Sir   but before I proseed  I beg ten thousand pardons for the Libity I tack with your Honour for About A monnth ago I trubled you before and had the Honour to see you and you was pleased to ask me in What Maner I Was brought up but your first telling Me that I could not be addmitted had so great a [indecipherable] on Me that I could Answer any thing but as my mind is allways thinking on you I was once more Resolved to offer my poor abillittys to your Honor.

I was born in the West Riding of York and have from My childhood had the greatest plesure in Seeking after plants and What Was to be found in the Country Wher I lived but not having opporttunity to improve myself my friends Addvised me to come to London and my mind given so Much to that I was Easely presaeade tho I was sone disapanted in my hopes for when I apleyed to the picyick [physic] garden at Chelsea I could not be addmitted  but on going [indecipherable] and many Expences that I could not Afored so my freiend Advised me to go in to a shop Wich I did but it hath Deprived me of Evry I Love Excpt my Books for this [?] year but at last hering so much of your Honor I was Rolsved to throw my at your feet beging your kindness to Lett me followe you for tho any post was Never so Lowe under your proction  I am seure to be Happy and if I should be so far Honored I am Redy to follow to the fartest corner of the Earth Tho  I Was sure never to see my Nattive Country more tho I am certtan ther is none that Loves it Better
