Rehearsal & show.  Oppressive weather.  Mail sent to London & Edinburgh (No. 16).  A marvellous "flying" display by one of our airmen -"Olgy Cooper".

Sunday, 29 July
A Days leave to Calais.  Leave Hazebrouck 9 a.m. train.  Pass through St. Omer etc.  Fine country en route.  Arrive Calais midday - report R.T.O. [Railway Transport Officer] - Visit Museum: Theatre:  L'Eglise:  The Beach & Promenade.  Casino (now a Hospital) - Calais P.C. - Calais Castle (scene of successful English invasion in Middle Ages - Leave for Hazebrouck 5.30 p.m.
