a mile front. The hun was highly delighted with his little reverses in this sector and put down a heavy barrage on them and attacked but got knocked back and our boys are sticking to their newly won positions. They are the goods alright.
9th
The weather just now is beautiful. I went for a short walk outside the hospital and watched the children on the common playing all the games I used to play myself at one time. I returned to hospital feeling ready for bed, although I had only been out for about an hour.
