Waterloo Station Christmas morn cold & damp. St Officers train about to leave for Southampton. Pathetic & very disturbing farewells exchanged between men wom men women boys girls. Why do they let their women folk see them off at the Station [indecipherable] I having got over itmy parting with my little lot two hours previously without unnecessary fuss.
