Nov 5th. Mon.
Not much doing. Result all officers are finding fault. If there is no rush on as regards wounded, they find unnecessary work other ways. They have too little to do and too much time to do it in.

Nov 7th. Wed.
Heavy bombardment of Bailleul.

Nov 10th. Sat.

Heavy bombardment going on up the line.

The thump, thump, thump of the continuous bombardments has given me a severe headache. Very discontented. Sweating on leave

Some of the men are all trumping up a tale of woe and getting leave before their time.

Nov 15th.
There has been an almost continuous bombardment for five days. It is something terrific

Farewell concert to Lt Col Stacey
Capt Kasy left.

Went to Bailleul.

Parade before Col M. regarding leave.

A list put up on Notice Board. Fifth on the list.
Weather very cold.

Not much doing in the O.T. Read first part of G.R Green's "Short History of the English people.

Awakened out of my sleep in the middle of the night and told that I am going on
