Monday Sept 2nd Paris
roamed round in the morning & found out about our return train : trip to Pont de Joinville in afternoon : & very enjoyable : went down the river Marne in little skiffs & after returning went in for a swim : went to the Alhambra after tea : Lindsay & his stockwhip act, the chimpanzee & the bike acts were very good indeed : bed at midnight : sent home a paper knife for Mother :
Tuesday Sept 3rd Paris
roamed round in morn & had some fun : sent home a book of Dunkirk & sent a book of Paris to Paisley : went to dinner with my Scotch friend & had a pleasant time : sent three trip photos home to Mother : after tea went to a concert in the Club hall & it was pretty good too : fun at night :
Wednesday Sept 4th Paris
up at 6 am : caught the 8.25 am home via Amiens : the old town seems to have been knocked about a bit : two girls in the train were good company & we had a great time : home to camp about 8.30 pm & it is with rather a weary feeling : absolutely the finest holiday I have ever spent & I wouldn't mind starting on another trip to Paris straight away : got 12 letters as my mail :
