11th August Sunday

Still no definite sailing date. Went ashore and spent most of the day promenading around the city and inspecting. Morning to the Naval docks at Devonport, which interested us immensely. The works are of great extent and deal with every class of naval repair work and refitting. Devonport is just contiguous to Plymouth, in fact the two towns merge into one.
