Sunday 9
Attack continues on outskirts. Left Enab to march to Jerusalem. Went thro Kulomeh saw. Judea on right [indecipherable] left for half hour. Very cold all day. Got in Jerusalem at dusk. Camped in Eng Hospital. Great rejoicing at Jersualem falling to us. Started to rain in afternoon and continue all night.

Monday 10
Jerusalem
Fine morning. Comfortable rest under roof of hospital. Went out had yarns to people Lady invited me round to house brought the boys with me in afternoon. Very well treated. Had music and afternoon tea. Invited round after tea. Went there heard sad stories. Lots of people speak English.
