Friday 30th April 1915. Was rudely awakened about 5.30am this morning by the "Prince of Wales" which is still within hailing distance of us, firing 4 or 5 shots from her 12" guns; the concussion was so great that it made the ship vibrate. At 10.30am Major Bruce came aboard; he was very sunburnt and looked tired, but otherwise alright. He had quite a number of experiences to relate, and had a good concourse of listeners.
