There has been a good deal of sickness in Camp despite good sanitary precautions being taking - & taken all together the place is not at all healthy – at least it does not suit the Australian Early in the last week we were informed definitely that we were to leave at the end of the month & I do not think there was a man in the Coy that was not pleased to hear the good news. Friday & Saturday there was a lot of work going preparatory to leaving & Sunday the day of leaving Mena was a hummer. The 1st F Coy & their Reinforcements – The 3rd Infantry Brigade & part of the 3rd Artillery were the Forces to leave.
