Tuesday 25/4/16.  Another fine morning to-day is annerversry day of the landing of Australians & Allied troops on Gallopoli, very quite (excepting a few shells from our battery and replys from the germans, rifle & machine gun fire to-night pretty constant.  26/4/16.  Another fine morning nothing much to-day, a bit of bombarding on each side, rifle fire pretty constant, got mixed [indecipherable] night.  27/4/16.  Another fine morning things pretty quite during day, but about 1/4 to 11 to-night there was a gas alarm & we all got out ready with gas helmets, as far as our front was concerned it was only a demonstration, but we hear there was an attack on our left.  big guns pretty buisy. 28/4/16 Fine morning nothing happened during day and pretty quite, excepting for machine gun & rifle fire during night.  29/4/16 Another fine morning & pretty quite, excepting for occasional shell fire.  got warned to be ready for an attack about 12 o'clock. great uncertainty nothing happened though.
