Palm yelds in abundance. They sow it promiscuously on the banks of the Sabermatty in the beginning of the rainy season, and begin to tap the trees, by the account I had of by the inhabitants: twelve year from the time they had it first planted.
The soil were they naturally grow, consist of an entire hard sand, not unlike that of the sandle wood plantations of Dolea.
N 14.Sterculia fœtida, or the Pewn tree from the Mahratta country. This tree grows remarkably tall, and straight, and it is chiefly apropriated for masts. I found these trees in low marshy districts, which I think ; they would be the most proper for it.
