Dear Sir                                         

in order to put you in Posession of a Fact which being among the [Remanets?] of your Predecessor in office might not possibly otherwise come to your knowledge I must request your to peruse a letter written by me to Mr Long late Secretery of the Treasury dated  March 25 1800 referring to another  a letter written to me [indecipherable] of the Lords of the treasury dated June 22 1798 on the subject of the Equipment of the Porpoise Sloop for New South Wales
