By William Bligh Esquire, Captain of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise and Senior Captain of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels at the Cape of Good Hope.

You are hereby required and directed to report to me the State and Condition of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise under my Command in order for her due equipment to proceed to her destined Port.

Given under my Hand this 12th May 1806 Simon's Bay, Cape of Good Hope.
