My Lord
I feel myself infinetely obligd to your Lordship for the speedy & obliging answer I have received to my Letter of yesterday, Capt. Bligh can feel no disapointment in hearing that Capt. Hunt's station is filld up as he had no idea of his having any hopes of succeeding him & I am confident he will hear with infinite pleasure that he is to be removd into a larger ship as every degree of notice he has the honor to receive from your Lordship will assist greatly towards healing the wound his spirit has receivd by the illiberal & unjust treatment his character has met with from the Relatives of the Mutineers of the Bounty.

however he never either complains or sollicits. I have not heard from him for some weeks & nothing in his Letter tended to express a wish for retirement, it is not by his desire that I sollicit it, I take that liberty merely because I know that his constitution requires rest now or will soon require it.
I have the honor to be
with infinite esteem respect & regard
Your Lordships most faithful
& most obedient hble Servt.
