[Page 2]

our Passage from Port Jackson to this Place we took up the officers & crews of the Porpoise & Cato, of the Wrecks of which Ships you will no doubt have received particular intelligence.

We left Port Jackson on the 20th of Septr, made the Reef on which the Ships had been lost on the 17th of Octr & came to an Anchor off Macao on Decr 6th. we found 12 or 13 Sail of Indianmen in the River ready to sail for England waiting solely for Intelligence from Europe as they were apprehensive of a War with France. Among the rest, the Warley, Capt Wilson, in which Ship I have taken passage to England.

I am very doubtful of the arrival of this letter at it's place of Destination safe, but I thought proper to send a few lines, stating my safe arrival here with the Instruments.
