By William Bligh Esquire Captain General and Governor in Chief in and over His Majesty's Territory of New South Wales and it's dependencies Capain [Captain] of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise, and Senior Officer of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels employed within the said limits

You are hereby  required and directed to liberate Mr Lye Master of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise under my Command who you have confined a close Prisoner to his Cabin and direct him to attend to his Duty until you have an opportunity to try him by a Court Martial on the Charges expressed in your Letter dated 1st. December 1806 and exhibited at the Court of Enquiry on the 12th. day of the same Month
