Sir

Mr Paulet whom I have this moment had the honor of being at my house desires me to acquaint you that after having considerd the circumstances under which the Project of Enclosing Fulstow now is fully & carefully we are both of opinion that we ought not to depart from the Last Resolution of the Proprietors of Thoresby as the advantages of joining with them is very evident & we cannot obtain that advantage without waiting till another session. I shall not therefore present the Petition which I should most readily have done had it been agreed upon to proceed

Mr Paulet called upon me in the evening & desird me to have the Petition Presented as we were not at all compromised or competed to Proceed by having done so & are Precluded in case any thing should induce us to change our minds in case the Petition is omitted I consequently promisd to do so
