My dear Sir
I have according to your desire enclosed with this three papers one my account with the Court for Hemp Seed purchased by me at the desire of the late Worthy Chairman & which has been long ago receivd by Mr Dominicus another respecting the laudable wish of one of the young men sent out to India by Me from Lincolnshire to leave a portion of his wages with his wife & a third which consists of the Remarks made to you & which you seemd to approve.
Respecting the proportion of Batta intended to be given by the Court to the Officers of the discovery Ship Investigator.
It may be necessary to explain to you as a reason for my interfering in the last question which seems wholly out of my way that owing to the present heavy pressure of business in the Admiralty that Board have from time to time intrusted me with the execution under their order of almost every detail of the lesser articles of the outfit of the ship hence it is that every part of her affairs are well known to me & that I am enabled to make remarks which I should not have brought forward if you
