Sir
Yours of the 25th June is come to hand & I rejoice to Find the late Count Moltke's Library in your hands as I now know that I am dealing with a man of honor & reputation whom I can trust
Had the possessor of Hermans Herbarium insisted upon a larger sum than £75. I should rather have given it than have abandoned a work which I expect to find being usefull in explaining Linnaeus's Flora Leilonica but I should have thought such a demand exhorbitant as I meant [indecipherable] the sum of £75 to propose a generous [indecipherable] which you seem to agree I shall therefore conclude that for £75 the Book is mine & request you to forward it to me
Relative to Fershall plates Colored I conclude it is the Plates already Published Colored if so you only can tell what price is proportioned to the magnificence with which they have been finished &c &c. I shall not therefore hesitate in agreeing to the price you recommend of 6 Guineas
besides these if I [indecipherable] I am indebted to you on account [indecipherable] they particularly the Flora [indecipherable] recd. by Mr Bishop be so good as to draw upon me for the amount or order me to pay it on your account for any person here you chuse & it shall be immediately prepard
I shall thank you to forward the books by the first safe conveyance & to insure them on my
