is brought back having previously provided a supply of Curious Plants for the Kings Botanic Garden at Kew which he is to take care of in their passage home

The said Gardiner to be allowd a salary not exceeding £70 a year, his Mess with the warrant officers Paid for, reasonable expences allowd him while in Places inhabited by Europeans for the Purpose of Procuring usefull Plants to supply the Places of those that may die, & for Collecting seeds & Plants for the Royal Gardens also when at New South Wales to have the same Rations of Provisions as are allowd to the Superintendent of the Colony
