Mr. Griffin's Compliments to Mr. Finncane - inclosed [enclosed] a Copy of His Excellency the Governor's Order of the 29th Ulto. to Lieutt Colonel Foveaux, to reinstate Him in His Government, as requested by Mr. Finncane in his Note of this Morning.

Captain Jackson having mentioned to me that You have claimed a Case of Stationary as your private property which came out in the Sinclair. I beg to acquaint You that I know of none except one which has been sent to my Quarters, directed from the Commissary General's for the Governor's Office here, which being evidently intended for the public Service I must declare giving up.
