Very Shy. but Many of them Are Since Come Among us-However we know but little more of them than before. they Are Certainly the Lowest Class of Human beings. They go in tribes or families live chiefly on fish. Berrys & the fern Root & Where they find most Oysters or the best fishing, there they take up their 
residence in the Hollows of A Rock till they have Cleard the Neighbouring Rocks of the Oysters & other small shellfish Which Adhere to them & then Seek some other place-they Are the only people I Ever heard of who did not Worship Some Deity; It is pretty Clear they do not-they often Come on board our ship which they Call an Island & Are Very troublesome for Bread. which they Are Extremely fond of - they Are Very treacherous & however friendly they may Appear whilst Amongst us, Experience has taught us, that they Are not to be trusted in the Woods, without An Apparent Superiority on our side, they throw the Spear with great force & skill & will hit a Small Mark at 50 Yards- We Arrive at Batavia on the 5 of July, 1790. having on our passage there discoverd A host of Land of near 400 Mile long in Latt. 10º.52' Sº.
