Dear Mrs Vernon
By the parcels mail received today a consignment of Khaki shirt and socks despatched by the Comforts Fund reached us. Each man in "B" Troop received one. They were very much appreciated by us all. We are now resting on the beach somewhere along the wash and find the life quite a treat after our recent operations which have occupied the greater part of the last two months. We have maintained successful activity during the mentioned period. The heat and dust added much to the hardships endured but as operations were successfully carried out, one can
