3  With the intention of bringing the Governor and Government of the country into hatred and disrespect, falsely and unlawfully causing to be brought before a court of Civil jurisdiction Robert Campbell Junr (the person employd by the Naval Officer to put the said stills on board a vessel then bound for England & to take the bodies of the same from the Prisoners' house) and there accusing him of having taken from his house two copper boilers value £40 and in the course of the said unlawful charge there being present divers persons to the number of a hundred or thereabouts, using certain false & unlawful words.  (Vide p. 6.)

IId [Second] Charge

1  Writing a certain false and libellous defamatory Letter (vid p 7) addressd to the Master of the Parramatta Schooner calculated & intended to raise disatisfaction in the minds of the Master & crew of the said vessel, & to cause them to come on shore in violation of the regulations of the Colony, the said Master and crew having abandond the ship & being brought before a Magistrate having charg'd the Prisoner as being from the Letter aforesaid the cause of their so doing.
2   Being summond before the Judge Advocate to shew cause for such his conduct refusing or neglecting to obey such summons and an answer thereto writing to the Judge Advocate a letter on service calculated for delay.
3   Refusing to comply with a Warrant issud by the Judge Advocate for having him brought before him in consequence of his not having obeyd the summons
