And then theres all that saddle soap
And soap of common kind
You know they both are waste of cash
To any frugal mind
The cheese that we are issued with
When things are as I hope,
Would do to wash our hands & face
And do away with soap.

Then why waste all that ration jam,
With fancy names galore,
When axle grease would do for both
And save a little more,
Or put some poison in it too
And add a little fat –
And we could use it very well
In killing off the chat.
