July 5thMrs. Smith and a few others and myself went over to LordByron's home, Thrumpton Hall and were welcomed by the old boy. Lord Byron is a jolly of old sport. Lieut. Woods and myself had a game of tennis with his nephew and a f very pretty girl a Mrs. Nielson We won both sets.
Sun. 7thA beautiful day. I had a wander round this big lovely old place with its beautiful rosary and clustering ancient elms and firs. My last day here. It makes one think of odious comparisons
