I look'd over a pretty numerous Collection of Eastindia Specimens at Doctor Hopes.  They are in good preservation, and complete for the most part in Flowers and Fruit.  The Dr tells me he is to make a lender of them to you, perhaps you may find some new Species or better than some you have already got amongst them.

Have you got any Specimens this year from abroad, or has Clarke furnishd [furnished] any thing from Jamaica?  I doubt your Opinion of him in point of Industry is too well founded.  Adieu
