MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT had made and fully concluded upon this Twenty fourth Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and seven By and Between John Palmer Esq.r Comissary of His Majestys Territory of New South Wales on Behalf of Government of the one part and Mr. John Blaxland of Parramatta in the Territory aforesaid of the other part as follows : - The said John Palmer Esquire as Commissary as aforesaid agrees to furnish the said John Blaxland with Sixty Cows, one Bull Thirty Sheep One Ram and four Oxen at the date hereof on Condition that the said John Blaxland shall return at the end of two years from this date Twenty Young Cows, at the end of Three Years, a further quantity of Twenty Young Cows and the like quantity of Twenty young Cows at the end of four Years from the Date hereof, which the said John Blaxland hereby engages and agrees to do testified by his being a party to this agreement and Signing the same And it is hereby further to be understood that the said John Blaxland is not to sell or otherwise dispose of the said Female Stock or any part thereof untill after the Second Generation nor shall any part thereof be sold or killed after that period untill they are paid for in manner hereafter Mentioned, without the special permission of His Excellency, the Governor being first obtained for that purpose and that no female is in any case to be Killed or Sold, and that Ewe Sheep are to be considered under the like restrictions, and it is hereby further understood and agreed by and between the parties that the said stock is to be at all times subject to the Inspection of the Governor or any person he may think fit to direct till the Contract is fulfilled
