Governor Gross Demanded all my Seeds Boxes & Bag, What Became of them I no not.  Sir if this Should Meet your Approbation for me to Collect for you, As Soon as I have the Honour to Receive your Commission I will make it my Chief Study So that their Shall not be a Plant nor a Seed But What you Shall See untill you are furnished.  So as I may not loose my Labour as I have done before.  Sir if you think to happen to Commission me I shall whant the Following Articles Paper for Specimen Books paper for Drawing Bags Pins for Insecks a Case of Instruments for Dissection a Multiplying Glass & Two Pocket Compasses.  I have a Drawer here and a very Good one.  Governor Phillips gave me your Direction but at the time as Governor Gross to my things I Lost it and I have Waited ever since Governor Phillips whent home as he Promised me a Commission.  I whould have Sent Some Seeds and Plants by Capt Banker of the Albeen [Albion?] but he Said he Could not take them on Account of the Duty as it Whould endanger his Vessel, But if I had had any Power he whould have taken them on Board.  Sir Please to Apply to Governor Phillips for my Character.
