I am now under orders to proceed to Torbay, and removed from this station, the Admiralty order to Adl. Dickson explicitly mentions, he is not to consider me any longer under his command.  It is very uncertain what is to be done with us.  I have so fully given up all my time & exertions to the Service that I feel worn out & want a little relief, under these impressions I have written to Lord St. Vincent requesting he would take my long service into his consideration & as it was now peace I hoped he would allow me to be superceded to which he has answered, "The
