daily, that his refusal is owing to an Intention he has newly form'd of settling himself here. if so, he is totally useless to us.

had his Enthusiasm continued, he wou'd have made an excellent Instrument in the hands of a good Director. as that is gone, he is no longer worth a farthing.

if the Scheme of Discovery is approv'd, it will not be difficult to fill his Place, and I will readily give my assistance against the next outfit, whenever that time may come.

P.S. when King comes back he shall have all the originals of my correspondence with Parke, if he thinks it worth while to place them on the office Books.
