and produce their warmest thanks, joined to their most ardent prayers to God almighty, for his perpetual welfare, health and prosperity.

To these humble entreaties of a worthy family, Dr. Gruber makes free to add his own intercession.  He once more requests and hopes, The Right Honourable Sir Joseph Banks will kindly forgive him, the having taken that liberty, to which he was encouraged by Sir Joseph's generosity and humanity, so eminently known and revered in this and all civilized countries, and to Gruber in particular during a  number of 15 years.

Please to say: fiat in this case Sir Joseph; and the thing is done!  A new family will respect in you their generous protector; new prayers will be sent to heaven for your prosperity; and new blessings will crown the man, to whom Science, Arts, manufacture, and the whole Country is so  much indebted.
