attack as last year.  In the summer you seemed to me as well in general health as I ever knew you.  May God preserve you my dear Sir! for if we lose you we shall be like a hive that has lost its queen. 

          I hope to see you in April, as my 1st lecture at the Royal Institution is fixed for the 15th of that month.

          My wife joins me in most respectful compliments to Lady & Miss Banks.
