seeds, as the quantity sent, will allow for some spoiling in the voyage, & in a small box of seeds the whole might be spoiled. I do not know the Marcs. of Rockingham, but Adl. Campbell desired that I would send her a few seeds. Mr. Duncombe's may be sent to his brothers in Pall Mall.

What our hopes & fears are you'll hear from Mr. Nepean, want of provisions & ten months dry weather, have been very unfavorable circumstances for a young Colony. The loss of the Guardian & Sirius, have been felt, & to add to as many difficulties as can well befall a man in any situation, I have now lost the only man, on whom I could depend for directing the labour of the Convicts, that is setting out their work &
