way of India: which would cost me at least 600 £ & as I have neither kept a Shop, or sold Drams - My Worldly savings do not exceed 1000 £ - so that I shall not return a Nabob

Should my Request for leave be granted I shall hope in the Course of Two Years more to have the Honor of Thanking you personally for the many & Great Obligations you have conferred on me - & in the Mean time I pray the Almighty to grant you a series of Long & happy Years to enjoy those Honors which your Exertions in Your Countrys Cause has so nobly Merited I am with every Respectful sentiment towards Yourself & Lady Banks.
